About
Melanie Gordon, BSc HK, Msc PT, FCAMPT, IDN
I completed a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2005 as well as many courses in orthopaedics, rehabilitative pilates and acupuncture. With over fifteen years of experience as a physiotherapist in sports medicine; I have helped adults and youth recover from the following:
chronic low back, neck, shoulder pain (i.e. desk work)
sports, fitness, running injuries and pain
surgery rehabilitation (low back, knee, hip, shoulder)
core weakness and postural issues
As a former competitive gymnast, I understand the demands of sports on our bodies and the importance of strength training for our health and wellbeing. Furthermore, I appreciate the necessity to have a strong foundation (muscles, joints, nervous system) in order to keep up with kids, daily tasks and busy lifestyles.
My passion is to help clients achieve their desired goals; whether it be returning to a sport or improve their wellbeing. We work collaboratively to determine the best recovery approach for you.
